Builder · Technologist · Investor
Strengthening communities from the ground up — investing in local businesses, land, and the people who make a place home.
About
I'm a community-oriented builder and investor based on Martha's Vineyard. My work sits at the intersection of technology, real estate development, and local economic stewardship — guided by the belief that the strongest communities are built by the people who live in them.
As a technologist, I bring systems thinking and modern tools to traditional challenges: housing, land conservation, and small business growth. As an investor, I put capital behind the local entrepreneurs and ventures that strengthen the fabric of island life.
The name Oraivi — "where roots solidify" — reflects a philosophy: that lasting value comes from deep connection to place, people, and purpose.
Every investment, every project starts with the same question: does this make the community stronger?
Building for generations, not quarters. Stewardship over speculation.
Applying technology and modern strategy to preserve what matters — not to replace it.
What I Do
Leveraging systems design, AI, and modern development tools to solve real-world problems — from project management to regulatory compliance and beyond.
Backing the small businesses, entrepreneurs, and ventures that make communities thrive. Capital with a conscience and a connection to place.
Developing land thoughtfully — creating housing that serves the community, preserving open space, and honoring the character of the places we call home.
Projects
Public projects and capabilities are open to everyone. Client portals provide secure access to project data, documents, and collaboration tools — click your organization to sign in.
Beyond Work
The most important work happens at home.
Wind, water, and the edge of control.
Perspective is earned at elevation.
Martha's Vineyard — home by choice.
"The strongest foundations aren't built on rock — they grow from roots that have learned to hold each other."— The Oraivi Philosophy
